Chinese scientists have discovered a 125-million-year-old venomous scorpion fossil in northeastern China. The newly found species, Jeholia longchengi, has unique traits and provides insight into prehistoric predators. This significant find, preserved in sedimentary rock, sheds new light on ancient ecosystems and the evolution of scorpions and their role in Cretaceous-era food webs.
