After months of uncertainty, 100 residents from Garib Nagar received keys to their new rehabilitation flats in Kurla. The MMRDA utilized a newly developed computerized system to ensure transparency in the allotment process. Delays in the rehabilitation were primarily due to the lack of required occupation certificates for the buildings. This move follows the demolition of nearly 500 structures in Garib Nagar for railway infrastructure expansion.
