8 dead as Cyclone Arnab batters Andhra coast, uproots trees, poles, damages homes

In the wake of severe cyclonic storm Arnab, eight fatalities have been reported across Andhra Pradesh. The cyclone caused extensive damage, uprooting trees and downing power lines, leaving many communities in despair with flooding and blackouts. Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu has appealed for central government support to manage the disaster’s impact, though early evaluations show that certain coconut crops remained relatively unscathed.
