Former actor Zarine Khan, wife of Sanjay Khan and mother of Sussanne Khan and Zayed Khan, passed away on November 7 at her Mumbai residence. She was 81 and had been battling age-related ailments. Born Zarine Katrak in a Parsi family, she later married into a Muslim household. However, her son Zayed Khan performed her last rites as per Hindu rituals.
