Sony has launched a more affordable, disc-free PlayStation 5 console exclusively for Japan, priced at 55,000 yen. This move aims to boost sales against Nintendo and address exchange rate issues, with the console going on sale November 21. The region-locked PS5 is designed to strengthen Sony’s domestic market share ahead of Grand Theft Auto VI’s release.
