A priest from Ambernath, identified as Veeran Munnuswami alias Anna, has been arrested by the DRI in connection with a major gold smuggling racket at Mumbai airport. He is believed to be a key figure, receiving and selling smuggled gold worth Rs 11 crore. The DRI’s investigation has already led to the arrest of five individuals.
