Vinod Khanna left Bollywood for Osho’s commune. Osho’s brother revealed Khanna’s sadness stemmed from lost stardom, not family. Osho suggested Khanna return to India and contest elections against Amitabh Bachchan. Khanna later re-entered films and politics, serving as a Union Minister. He passed away in 2017.
