West Bengal chief minister Suvendu Adhikari stated the lynched youth was innocent and will receive justice. He assured that approximately two hundred individuals identified for vandalism will be arrested. Evidence has been collected against those who instigated the violence and opposition parties. The Chief Minister directed the police chief to submit a detailed report within seventy-two hours. A police outpost will be established at Surjapur following the girl’s family’s request.
