Maharashtra FDA chief Tukaram Mundhe’s festive warning: Go easy on fat, salt and sugar

In an effort to ensure food safety during the festivities, Mumbai FDA Commissioner Tukaram Mundhe has introduced updated guidelines. Citizens are advised to reduce their intake of foods high in fat, salt, and sugar. Established restrictions on unhealthy items around schools will continue as they have since 2020. Ongoing inspections of midday meal suppliers and central kitchens across Maharashtra are a priority.
