A ferry boat named Anvari broke down mid-sea near Gateway of India. Thirty-eight people were safely brought to shore after the incident occurred. Another ferry boat, Azad Hind, assisted in towing the stranded vessel. The Anvari ferry had departed for a short joyride from the Gateway. No untoward incident took place during the rescue operation.
