Prime Minister Narendra Modi urged teachers to look beyond academics and remain alert to signs of drug abuse, behavioural changes and excessive screen time among students. Encouraging sports and creative activities, he stressed the need to protect childhood. President Droupadi Murmu also highlighted teachers’ responsibility to nurture confident, compassionate and responsible citizens.
