HYROX defends athlete who soiled herself during race and warns of lifetime bans for those sending threats and abuse

HYROX has apologised after Australian athlete Joanna Wietrzyk reportedly suffered bowel incontinence during the Beijing event and continued racing to victory. The incident sparked criticism over hygiene and HYROX’s handling of the situation, with the organisation admitting its procedures became unclear. However, HYROX has warned that anyone threatening or encouraging harm against Wietrzyk will be permanently banned from all events.
