Maratha reservation activist Manoj Jarange has departed for Mumbai to continue his hunger strike. Mumbai police have denied permission for his protest twice in recent days. Jarange submitted a third application seeking permission for fifty participants. He stated he would approach the Bombay High Court if permission was not granted. Supporters expressed concern over his deteriorating health during the ongoing fast.
