R Prashanth Babu, a medical representative, was caught at Bengaluru’s Kempegowda International Airport as part of a major police operation targeting a fake drug network spanning multiple states. The operation centered around an unlicensed facility near Tavarekere that manufactured counterfeit medications. Authorities seized around Rs 5 crore worth of medicines and equipment, arresting eight people linked to this illegal scheme, including notorious kingpin Veeresh Kumar Jain.
