Seven people have been charged in Louisiana over an alleged insurance fraud scheme involving 13 residential fires between 2019 and 2026. Prosecutors say the group rented homes, took out insurance, allegedly set fires and then submitted false claims for property losses, hotel stays and disaster relief payments.
