Jannik Sinner has announced that he will not return to competitive tennis for the rest of the year. He is undergoing treatment for a persistent knee injury he has been experiencing since July. Sinner’s last appearance was at Wimbledon, where he won the title against Alexander Zverev. Earlier in the season, he won five consecutive ATP Masters 1000 titles and reached the Australian Open semi-finals.
