Air India cancelled Toronto-bound flight at last minute, leaving passengers stranded; commission upholds Rs 1.34 lakh payout

The Chandigarh state consumer commission upheld a ruling requiring Air India and Thakural Travels to refund a passenger. This followed the cancellation of a connecting flight from New Delhi to Toronto without proper notification. The complainant had previously booked the journey and incurred additional costs due to the cancellation. The commission found that the companies exhibited deficiency in service and unfair trade practices.
