Jamie Lever has revealed why she initially did not want to use the ‘Lever’ surname professionally, saying being Johnny Lever’s daughter came with immense responsibility. In an interview with Hindustan Times, the comedian-actor said she needed to find her own voice and discover what she could offer. Jamie recalled that it took her 10–12 years to build an independent identity in comedy. She also shared Johnny’s advice on committing fully to the profession and continuing to improve her craft.
