Trump vows to appeal after US judge blocks further tree removal at historic Washington golf course

A US federal judge has extended restrictions on President Donald Trump’s renovation plans for Washington’s historic East Potomac Golf Course after at least 400 trees were cut down. The court has banned further tree removal and ordered advance notice before irreversible changes. Trump, however, plans to close the 106-year-old course on November 15 despite an ongoing legal challenge.
