“We’ve had a lot of highs and lows”: Patrick Mahomes and Brittany Mahomes’ $325 million KC Current face a major test as Angel City arrive for NWSL playoffs

Patrick and Brittany Mahomes-backed Kansas City Current will host Angel City FC in the 2026 NWSL playoff quarterfinals on November 7. The fourth-seeded Current will rely on their home advantage at CPKC Stadium, where they have gone more than 30 consecutive regular-season games without a loss. With 54 goals this season and Croix Bethune setting two league records, Kansas City will aim to extend its impressive run.
