Small Listing Spurs Protection: Indiana saves 3,950 acres; new wildlife area opens

An effort to save a 191-acre parcel in Indiana led to the protection of nearly 4,000 acres. The land was acquired to prevent fragmentation and protect wildlife habitats in the area. Various organizations and public agencies collaborated to complete the acquisition. The Busseron Creek Fish and Wildlife Area opened to the public in April 2025 for outdoor recreation.
