After years of abandonment, 48 acres once home to Ohio’s SeaWorld and Six Flags parks are set to reopen on October 25

Aurora Park at Geauga Lake will reopen to the public on October 25, focusing on outdoor recreation. This redevelopment includes seating areas, boating access, and restored structures from the amusement park era. Future phases will introduce a public beach, playground, and other recreational facilities as part of the project. The City of Aurora acquired the property in December 2024 to ensure public access.
