Bengal will integrate over 6 crore Swasthya Sathi beneficiaries into the Ayushman Bharat health scheme from July, with enrolment already underway. A Rs 3,000 crore central package aims to revamp healthcare infrastructure, including setting up more Jan Aushadhi Kendras. The state also plans medical colleges in four districts and an AIIMS in North Bengal, alongside launching cervical cancer vaccination.
