Tamil Nadu is planning to connect the new Terminal 5 at Chennai airport with multiple transport options. The state aims to enhance passenger handling capacity while addressing transportation links to existing terminals effectively. Authorities have proposed expanding the airport to accommodate 20 million passengers annually and improve existing facilities. An expressway is being considered to link the new terminal with the Tambaram–Maduravoyal bypass efficiently.
