Apple has been ordered by a federal jury to pay Taction Technology more than $5.7 billion for patent infringement. The case involved Taction’s patents related to haptic feedback technology used in Apple devices. Although Apple initially won the case, a higher court revived it, leading to a jury trial. Apple strongly disagreed with the verdict and announced plans to appeal the decision.
