Severe Cyclonic Storm ‘Montha’ made landfall on the Andhra Pradesh and Yanam coasts near Narsapur early on October 29th. Coastal regions experienced heavy rainfall and strong gales, uprooting trees and electric poles. The storm has since weakened into a cyclonic storm and is expected to move northwest, bringing more heavy to very heavy rainfall.
