Delhi likely to host FIDE World Cup, lose Freestyle Chess rights

New Delhi is expected to host the FIDE Chess World Cup 2025 from October 31 to November 27, marking its return to India after 23 years. The capital city is the preferred location for major tournaments. Additionally, India will host the 5th leg of the FIDE Women’s Grand Prix Series in Maharashtra this April.
