Former Punjab minister Bhagat Chunni Lal passed away at his Jalandhar home. The 93-year-old leader was a cabinet minister in the SAD-BJP government. He previously served as deputy speaker of the Punjab Assembly. His son, Mohinder Bhagat, is currently the Horticulture minister. The Punjab government declared a half-day holiday for his demise.
