The Gujarat high court dismissed a petition by BJP candidate Harshad Ribadiya challenging AAP’s Bhupendra Bhayani’s victory in the Visavadar constituency general assembly elections. This clearance allows a bye-poll for the Visavadar seat, which has been vacant since Bhayani’s resignation in December 2023. Subsequent attempts to hold a bye-election were hindered by Ribadiya’s pending petition.
