IAF chief AP Singh’s flying journey comes full circle, completes final sortie on iconic Kiran with 1st trainer

Air Chief Marshal Amar Preet Singh soared through the skies one last time in an HJT-16 Kiran Mk-1 aircraft near Hyderabad, bidding adieu to a remarkable 40-year journey in the Indian Air Force. Accompanied by his initial mentor, Wing Commander V S Kochar, the sortie evoked nostalgia. Logging over 5,000 flying hours, ACM Singh is set to retire on October 31, handing over command to Air Marshal Ashutosh Dixit.
