Maharashtra government plans to issue Farmer IDs to approximately 1.6 lakh farmers lacking entries in land records. This initiative will enhance access to governmental schemes and benefits for eligible farmers. Additionally, offline land surveys will be conducted where online options are not available, supporting around one lakh farmers. Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis intends to personally celebrate Diwali with farmers and their families in Nagpur district.
