Central Railway has commissioned the 13.53km Khardi-Kasara third line to facilitate better train services. This key section of the Kalyan-Kasara project was inspected and cleared by the Commissioner of Railway Safety. A successful speed trial showed the line can operate safely at high speeds. Significant upgrades were made to track connections, bridges, and signalling systems during construction. Once fully completed, the project aims to enhance punctuality and reduce congestion significantly.
