A remarkable transformation has occurred for a painting acquired for under $100, which has now fetched an astonishing £189,200 due to its true provenance being uncovered. Hidden for decades within a family’s home, the artwork, initially misattributed, is revealed to be the work of Scottish artist Francis Campbell Boileau Cadell.
