India’s Union government is establishing an integrated logistics system aimed at improving coordination among its defense services. This initiative is modelled after the successful US Defense Logistics Agency’s operational framework. The Department of Military Affairs is actively working on incorporating best practices suitable for the Indian context. Various committees are being formed to streamline logistics processes and procedures across services.
