The Orissa High Court has dismissed a Public Interest Litigation concerning alleged corruption at the Hirakud mechanical division. The court found the petition to be an abuse of the judicial process. Petitioner Pabitra Parida was fined Rs 2 lakh. This amount will be deposited with the Odisha State Legal Services Authority. The funds will support juvenile homes.
