Traders in Ranchi are urging the state government to reduce VAT on piped natural gas (PNG) due to LPG disruptions and high taxes. With LPG supply limited and demand high, PNG is seen as an alternative, but its 14%-15% VAT, significantly higher than neighboring states, is a major deterrent for businesses and consumers.
