Sukhbir Singh Badal was discharged from a Nanded hospital Friday after a kirpan attack. He underwent surgery for a tendon injury and nerve repair. The Shiromani Akali Dal chief later flew to Delhi for further recovery. Police are investigating the motive behind the attack on Badal. The accused, Jaspal Singh, has been living in Pune and volunteering at the gurdwara.
