Prof Angomcha Bimol Akoijam has been dismissed from Jawaharlal Nehru University due to sexual harassment allegations. The allegations were made by eleven students and were investigated by the Internal Complaints Committee. After reviewing the case, the committee recommended a major penalty, leading to his dismissal. Complaints included inappropriate remarks, advances, and offers of grades for sexual favors. Congress has not yet responded to the university’s decision regarding the professor.
