Fourteen women affiliated with the All India Students’ Federation were detained at Itarsi railway station during their journey. They were travelling on the Goa Express when police intervened and forcibly took them into custody. Following their detention, the women were placed in a hotel banquet hall in the city for unclear reasons. The hotel management restricted staff access to the area where the students have been kept.
