Southern Railway’s Chennai division is set to upgrade four key goods sheds, boosting freight movement and cargo handling. Singaperumal Koil and Tada are already seeing improvements for automobile traffic. Korukkupet’s Rs 81.43 crore redevelopment will include new lines and truck facilities, while Katpadi will enhance handling of essential commodities, supporting regional industrial growth.
