Poultry farmers in Cuddalore district are facing significant losses due to the mysterious deaths of 5,600 chickens. This incident affected six farms in Kurinjipadi taluk before the Deepavali festival, resulting in a 100% mortality rate. Laboratory tests have ruled out Low Pathogenic Avian Influenza as a cause of death. Poultry farm owners have been advised to enforce stringent biosecurity measures and refrain from new stock.
