Maharashtra Maritime Board plans to install floating advertising barges and hoardings at prominent locations in Mumbai. These installations will generate revenue for port and water transport infrastructure funding. Minister Nitesh Rane mentioned that this initiative will comply with international standards and regulations. However, environmental and aesthetic concerns have been raised regarding these proposals by residents and activists.
