A man was arrested in Agartala for the rape and assault of a minor girl, who remains in critical condition. Shankar Das, known to the victim’s family, allegedly lured her, assaulted her, and forced her to ingest a toxic pesticide before fleeing. The critically injured girl was hospitalized, and an investigation is currently underway.
