Severe cyclonic storm Murasu disrupted air travel on Monday, forcing the cancellation of at least 30 domestic flights across Vijayawada, Visakhapatnam, Tirupati and Chennai. Nineteen flights were cancelled in Andhra Pradesh, while 11 Chennai services to Vijayawada, Rajahmundry, Kadapa and Tiruchirappalli were scrapped. The IMD expects landfall between Nellore and Narasapur on the night of November 2-3, with widespread rain forecast. It is the state’s second cyclone within a week.
