Amritsar police crack down on immigration fraud, verify travel agents’ licenses

Amritsar police are verifying the credentials of immigration and travel agents to protect individuals from fraud. Police Commissioner Gurpreet Singh Bhullar reported that of the 72 licenses checked, 8 were suspicious and are under investigation. This crackdown follows the deportation of illegal Indian immigrants from the U.S., who paid significant fees to travel agents.
