Anthropic has introduced OSS Scanner, a free, opt-in service that uses its strongest AI models, including Claude Mythos, to run periodic security scans on major open-source projects. Reports arrive without human review but include reproducers and candidate patches. In testing, 88% of high-severity findings met Anthropic’s disclosure bar, with one false positive. Only projects with a critical impact on infrastructure and user security can enrol.
