At 37, Tamim Iqbal becomes youngest Bangladesh Cricket Board President

Former Bangladesh captain Tamim Iqbal has been elected president of the Bangladesh Cricket Board, becoming the youngest person to hold the role. The 37-year-old won 73 of 75 votes and will serve a four-year term. Tamim pledged transparency, honesty and gradual reforms, saying any constitutional changes would require broad consensus among the board’s councillors and stakeholders.
