The proposal had come up for discussion at an earlier Apex Council meeting of the BCCI and will now be placed before the AGM for consideration. If approved, the move would bring the Union Territory into the BCCI fold. Associate membership, however, does not carry voting rights. It will, though, provide a pathway for Andaman & Nicobar to feature in India’s domestic cricket calendar.
