Kumar Babu Chavan, a 24-year-old delivery boy, was arrested for allegedly robbing women of gold ornaments. Chavan reportedly committed these crimes to fund his online gambling addiction, creating a cycle of robbery and loss. Two constables of the Crime Branch Unit-1 apprehended him in Vashi while he was searching for another victim. Authorities have implicated jeweller Jagdishchandra Ramchandra Kumawat as a co-accused for buying stolen gold.
