Kaziranga National Park and Tiger Reserve named a newborn female elephant calf ‘Mayabini’, symbolizing new life, hope, and harmony. Born to departmental elephant Kuwari on World Animal Day, the name pays tribute to legendary singer Zubeen Garg and his iconic song. Forest minister Chandra Mohan Patowary announced the name, highlighting the park’s cherished departmental elephants.
